Health Benefits

Commercial potato chips are often fried in unhealthy oils, contain high levels of sodium, and are loaded with preservatives and flavor enhancers.

Baked sweet potato chips made at home, on the other hand, are rich in fiber, vitamins (like vitamin A from beta-carotene), and healthy fats from olive oil. Sweet potatoes also have a lower glycemic index than white potatoes, meaning they won’t spike blood sugar levels as quickly.

By baking rather than frying, you cut down on unhealthy fats and reduce the calorie content significantly.
