Preparation

  • Bring water in a pot to boil and add a pinch of salt.
  • Stir in the rice and turn to medium-heat. Cook for around 16 to 18 minutes, or 30 to 35 if you are using brown rice.
  • Wash the broccoli, cut the crowns into small pieces and chop the peeled onion into small pieces.
  • In a small bowl combine pepper, salt, oregano, grated ginger, a bit of water and chopped garlic until smooth.
  • Cut the beef into small strips and combine with the marinade.
  • Stir-fry the beef in olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heet for 4 to 6 mins until it starts to brown.
  • Remove beef to a plate and cover to keep it warm.
  • Stir-fry the onion and broccoli in the skillet for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Serve vegetables and beef on rice.
