Preparation

1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the buckwheat pasta and cook according to package instructions (usually 7–9 minutes). Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining.

2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).

3. Add the halved brussels sprouts to the skillet. Sauté for 6–8 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized. If needed, add a splash of water to help soften them.

4. Stir in the green peas and cook for 2–3 minutes until warmed through.

5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together to coat evenly. Add lemon zest, lemon juice, and chili flakes (if using). Season with sea salt and black pepper.

6. Plate the pasta and sprinkle with hemp seeds and flaxseeds for a boost of healthy fats and protein. Serve warm and enjoy!
